…what beautiful pearls in the Indian ocean, each one different in their own way – just a dream!
The beautiful and numerous granite rocks have become witnesses of this time* and also their marks….
* it have same rocks like on the african continent
My hotel was on the main island Mahé in the idyllic Beau Vallon Bay. I loved all tropical fruits and creole dishes. I recommend herefor the restaurant ‘Marie Antoinette’, BEST restaurant of the island Mahé. This restaurant is idyllically situated on a hill overlooking to Victoria, the smallest capital of the world. There are indeed just 10 traffic light intersections here.
You can reach the most spots by bus, boat, ferry or taxi, and I felt really SAFE here. Very friendly people .
The rainforest is very well preserved and the flora and fauna are rare natural treasures.
For Example: Coco de Mér, cinnamon trees or even turtles, much is unique here. That island-state consists of 115 archipels; many of them still uninhabited and authentic.
Thank you for liking my post! I enjoyed reading your article and happy travels!

Wish it was closer. These seem out of reach but maybe someday. In the meantime, armchair travelling on wordpress will have to do…

Don’t say someday- set a date and make it happen. You won’t be sorry.

Beautiful! I loved reading that people of different religions live so harmoniously — a lesson for all of us.

By coincidence, I am reading a book by someone who visited Seychelles 30 years ago. By your description, it hasn’t changed much. I’m glad.

Thanks for your lovely blog. I am enjoying reading it. I love that all of the religions live peacefully together. It does indeed sound like paradise. It is nice to know that there is still a lot of the places that are uninhabited and authentic. It was heart warming to hear that the rain forest is preserved and lots of fauna there too and that their eco system is still flourishing. It indeed does sound like paradise and I would love to travel there too to experience its diversity, richness and beauty.

Great post. This sounds so wonderful. My husband is from South Africa, and we went to Mauritius in February. It was absolutely wonderful. We had to decide between Mauritius and the Seychelles, and ultimately chose Mauritius, because the flight was shorter/easier, but this is definitely on my itinerary. Any other island recommendations in the Indian ocean?

…… which is definitely on my bucket list, ‘La Reunion’ – a veteran, the island has incredibly varied landscapes, for example: Volcanism…
